About the Position:


This is a highly technical role, providing primarily offshore post-sales Consulting delivery under the Juniper Networks Professional Services Team. The role covers Architectural, Design and Implementation Consultancy services for Junipers Networks Solutions. Consultant will be required to develop and maintain expertise on MX -Series Services (Junos Subscriber Management, IPSec, CGNAT).


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • This position will be an Individual Contributor Role
  • Run requirements and scoping workshops with the customer, delivery partners and sales.
  • Acting as a Technical lead for major network deployments and migrations where responsibilities includes delivery of Professional Services milestones including creation of high level and low level design documentation, migration planning, product integration and acceptance.
  • Follow the Juniper Professional Services engagement and delivery processes, working closely with the Project Manager.
  • Work closely with colleagues and customer’s personnel to help test, design, and plan for deployments of new products and features.
  • Support networks in early stages of deployment
  • Formulate network management strategies
  • Act as a Professional Services project leader on larger projects, coordinating the work of a larger delivery team and owning overall responsibility for network implementation.
  • Provide appropriate training (Knowledge Transfer workshops) to Juniper Networks partners and customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the customer's technical management and teams.
  • Participation in requirements gathering workshops, discussions and meetings with Customer’s Design, Test and/or Engineering Teams
  • Providing input related to ‘best practices’ in design, implementation and/or migration planning, and validation & verification testing
  • Assisting with hand-over to Operations or to a Juniper Networks Operational RE
  • Tracking and reporting of issues found during testing, Implementation and migration
  • Lead projects on Juniper MX Series Products primarily on the Services Side (Junos Subscriber Management, IPSec, CGNAT)
  • Work with directly with highly knowledgeable group of Service Provider customers.
  • Understand Service provider core & edge network, Troubleshoot complicated hardware and software issues, replicate customer environments and network problems in the lab.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Comp Science or similar discipline
  • Strong  understanding of -IP Packet flow, OSI layers
  • Layer 3 - IP and related technologies (ICMP, TCP, IPSec, CGNAT, GRE, QoS, VRRP)
  • Ethernet, PPP, PPPoE, PPPoA, DHCP,AAA and related protocols such as Radius, Diameter
  • IP-related protocols including IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, QOS solutions
  • Good Experience in Metro Ethernet, Broadband technologies and Seamless MPLS, QoS and IP related services
  • Strong Service Provider background
  • Very strong knowledge (CCIE/JNCIE level) of the design principles and operations in SP networks.
  • Extensive experience in a technical role including strong experience supporting large SP networks and mobile backhaul solutions

Experience/Background Desired:


  • 10+ years’ experience in the telecommunications industry
  • Hands-on experience on Juniper devices will be a plus

Additional Qualifications:


  • Some experience with at least one programming language. Python is preferred. Should be able to use a programming language to write basic scripts. (e.g., log parsing, sending API requests, automating everyday tasks)

Education:


  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar discipline
