We are building and evolving Investment Foundation, a top-priority project forSimCorprightnowand we are building this area to meet our strategic decisions and deliver more outcomes. We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer withexpertisein C#, a deep understanding of itsecosystemsand a strong background in object-oriented programming. The ideal candidate should be familiar with the .NET framework, skilled in designing and implementing architectural patterns. Additionally,proficiencyin automated testing platforms, unit tests, andGit forcode versioning, along with experience in Azure environments, is highly desirable.You willbe part of anengineering team, contributing to everything from architecture andcomponentdesign to performance and accessibility and responsible for delivering functionality that enables clients to make investment decisions with our back-office applications.The ideal candidate should have an eagerness to learnAPL(A Programming Language). Prior experience with APLisn’trequired,we provide comprehensive training and a supportive environment to help you succeed. Our company also partly ownsDyalogAPL, ensuring the languageremainsactively maintained and relevant.For now, the most of our work is done in APL.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

As aSenior/Lead Engineer, you will help drive both technical excellence and team execution, end-to-end:

• Lead design and development of backend systems in APL (current core).

  
  

• Architect scalable, secure, high-performance solutions as wemovetoward cloud-native approaches on Microsoft Azure. 

  
  

• Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, technicalplanningand agile ways of working. 

  
  

• Partner closely with Productandengineeringpeers to deliveroutcomesthat matter,fast feedback, reliabledeliveryand maintainable code.

  
  

• Drive code quality and reliability via unit testing, integration testing, CI/CDand pragmatic engineering standards. 

  
  

• Identifyperformance bottlenecks and bugs and devise sustainable solutions. 

  
  

• Use Git-based workflows and work effectively in a continuous integration environment. 

  
  

• Collaboratewithcross-located teams and contribute to shared ways of working across sites.

  
  

• Require excellent business and communication skillsand to be able to understand client specific requirements.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’sor Master’sdegree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.  

  
  

• 5+ years of software development experience.

  
  

• Strong engineering fundamentals: object-oriented design, architecture patterns, clean code, and pragmatic problem solving. 

  
  

• Solid experience in C#/.NET (Core/Framework) and building backend systems (APIs, services, integrations). 

  
  

• Familiarity with APIs (REST/streaming patterns) and messaging concepts (e.g., service bus patterns). 

  
  

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.  

  
  

• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD, plus strong code review habits. 

  
  

• Acquaintance with AI tools andMLis a plus

  
  

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.  

  
  

• Comfortable collaborating with multiple stakeholders and communicating clearly in an international environment.

  
  

APLREADINESS

• Youdon’tneed prior APL experience. What matters is curiosity and willingness to learn. We provide training and a supportive environment to help you succeed, andSimCorppartly ownsDyalogAPL,helping ensure the languageremainsactively maintained and relevant.

  
  

NICE-TO-HAVE

• FinTech /regulated-industryexperience. 

  
  

• Exposure to vector-based or functional languages (helpful for ramping up in APL).

  
  

• Experience in a technical leadership role.
