This role willsitwithin the Global Data and Technology Solutions (GDATs) organization in World Courierand is a key member oftheEngineering team.We’rere-imagining IT — not as a support function, but as a strategic partnertothe World Courier business.

AsanManager - Software Engineering, you will be a critical bridge between engineering strategy and day-to-day delivery,translating the department's vision into tangible outcomes through the teams you lead. You will oversee one or several development teams across multiple locations,with accountability for team leadership, delivery execution, application health, and the ongoing support of the platforms and services yourteamowns.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Lead distributed engineering teams (onsite/offshore, employees & contractors) and foster a high-performing, inclusive culture.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of business-critical applications across the full SDLC.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ensure predictable delivery by managing risks, dependencies, and clear status communication.
  • Maintain application health, reliability, and incident management with strong root-cause focus.
  • Drive engineering excellence through modern practices (CI/CD, DevSecOps, automation, APIs).
  • Provide technical leadership in architecture, design, and scalable solution development.
  • Promote quality-first and security-first approaches with shift-left testing practices.
  • Strengthen partnerships across a global, matrixed organization.
  • Continuously improve engineering standards, team effectiveness, and delivery outcomes.

Work Experience:


  • 10+ years in application development, including 3+ years leading and mentoring engineering teams in an enterprise environment.

  • Relevant certifications in Azure, ITIL, or security are a plus

  • Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET, C#, SQL, and modern web application development; experience with Angular/SPAs and ASP.NET front ends is helpful.
  • Proven success leading distributed teams, including onshore and offshore delivery models, and developing high-performing engineers through growth and change.
  • Experience building and consuming APIs and working with modern integration approaches, including RESTful services, messaging, and event-driven patterns.
  • Deep familiarity with modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, shift-left quality, and security-by-design.
  • Experience with application support, incident management, and delivery approaches such as Agile, working effectively with product and business stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications in Azure, ITIL, or security are a plus.

Education Qualification:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.
