JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.


• Strategically develop and manage carrier relations for ocean services in conjunction with global and local guidelines and needs.
• Drive new business to JAS by providing best procurement results geared towards growth plans in place and by supporting internal JAS customers (WOT team, Commercial channels and Customer Service teams / Branches) with strategic pricing & procurement solutions.
• Negotiate and manage the trades, providing market information and rates negotiation, as well as coaching sales and operations regarding the ocean product’s particularity in each trade.
• Support all branches regarding information and strategy to increase volumes and market share from the country. Participate actively to set ICP areas with sales channel.
• Facilitator for all procurement.
  • Duties will involve all trades (import and export).
  • Organize and manage allocations on specific trades with various carriers.
  • Play key role in establishing and driving execution of procurement strategy for exports & imports.
  • Package and Communicate “Ocean Services Procurement strategy” to the Branches, our commercial organization and our valuable overseas network.
  • Establish, analyze and manage KPI internally to drive corporate efficiencies, reduce overall operating cost and position JAS ocean services to provide best carrier partner choices at optimal priced market levels.
  • Contribute product procurement information to budget process and assist branches to provide adequate, qualitative input to the overall process at planning stages and throughout review periods on a monthly basis to optimize lift.
  • Guide and develop regional & local procurement colleagues during branch set-up through constant feedback & communication to individuals and managers; assist with learning and development initiatives and mentoring.
  • Ensure timely response to all inquiries.
  • Manage special projects and ensure continuous guidance to commercial channels and customer service teams as well as GAM.
  • Act as Corporate Sponsor for Key Client Relationships, where requested.
  • Work closely with the WOT on all aspects of our global business needs.
  • Perform other position related duties as specified by management.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • To manage all the Procurement Team.
