Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a skilled Performance Testing Specialist to ensure the robustness, scalability, and efficiency of our web and mobile applications. This role involves designing and executing performance tests, analyzing system behaviors under load, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve performance bottlenecks. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in performance testing tools, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of performance principles to support our digital transformation efforts.

Software Requirements
 

Required Software Skills:

• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner

  
  

• Proficiency in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and performance reports

  
  

• Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, New Relic, or built-in tools like AWR/ASH (preferred)

  
  

• Basic scripting skills for creating and automating performance test scenarios (optional but advantageous)

  
  

• Familiarity with cloud environments for performance testing (AWS, Azure) (preferred)

  
  

Preferable Skills:

• Experience with continuous performance monitoring and integration into CI/CD pipelines

  
  

• Knowledge of database performance tuning and SQL performance analysis

  
  

Overall Responsibilities

• Conduct performance testing of web and mobile applications to assess scalability and stability under various load conditions

  
  

• Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed performance test cases aligned with project requirements

  
  

• Execute performance tests, analyze results, and identify bottlenecks and system limitations

  
  

• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to diagnose performance issues and implement optimizations

  
  

• Generate detailed performance reports and present findings to stakeholders

  
  

• Maintain and improve performance testing frameworks and scripts

  
  

• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in performance testing and application scalability

  
  

Technical Skills (By Category)

• Performance Testing Tools: Apache JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner (required)

  
  

• Scripting & Automation: Basic knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Groovy (preferred)

  
  

• Monitoring & Analysis: Application monitoring tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or CloudWatch (preferred)

  
  

• Databases & Data Management: SQL tuning, database performance analysis (preferred)

  
  

• Development & Integration: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation (preferred)

Experience Requirements

• 4 to 12 years of experience in performance testing and quality assurance

  
  

• Proven experience testing web and mobile applications' performance and scalability

  
  

• Hands-on experience with a minimum of two performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner)

  
  

• Strong background in analyzing performance bottlenecks and recommending solutions

  
  

• Experience working within Agile methodologies and delivering performance tests in fast-paced environments

  
  

• A portfolio of previous performance testing projects is highly desirable

  
  

Day-to-Day Activities

• Design and execute performance tests based on project requirements and system architecture

  
  

• Analyze test data to identify performance issues and root causes

  
  

• Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to optimize application performance

  
  

• Document test results, performance bottlenecks, and improvement recommendations

  
  

• Automate performance test scenarios for recurring use in CI/CD pipelines

  
  

• Conduct post-deployment performance validation and ongoing monitoring

  
  

• Stay informed about new testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices

  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  
  

• Professional certifications such as ISTQB Performance Testing or relevant tool-specific certifications are a plus

  
  

• Demonstrated experience in performance testing of enterprise-level web and mobile applications
