Job Description: We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Planning Manager to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This critical role involves overseeing and coordinating the planning and scheduling of projects, ensuring that deliverables are met within scope, time, and budget constraints. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of planners and collaborating with cross-functional departments to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules that reflect the work breakdown structure, project scope, timelines, and resources required.
Supervise, train, and mentor a team of planners, ensuring adherence to best practices and company standards.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project schedules are accurate and aligned with project objectives.
Monitor and analyze resource availability, identifying gaps and ensuring effective utilization throughout the project lifecycle.
Track project progress, identify potential delays, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure timely completion.
Generate and deliver regular status reports to senior management and clients, including schedule updates, risks, and opportunities.
Assess the impact of changes on project timelines and budgets, updating schedules and resource plans as needed.
Develop risk mitigation plans for potential schedule disruptions and proactively address issues to minimize impact.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in project planning or scheduling, with demonstrated success in a managerial role.
PMP, PMI-SP, or similar project management certification is preferred.
Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
In-depth understanding of project planning, resource management, and risk assessment.
Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Familiarity with construction industry standards and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
