Plant Engineer

We are looking for a Plant Engineer / Senior Engineer to join our team in Pune, India. In this role, you will contribute to engineering activities for paper and board machine environments, with a focus on plant engineering, 3D modelling, drawings, and bill of material creation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and subcontracted engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions that support project execution, procurement, manufacturing, and installation.

Main responsibilities:

• Carry out plant engineering for paper and board machine environments, including machine hall main dimensions, machine foundation main dimensions, and auxiliary equipment layout planning.

  
  

• Create 3D models, drawings, and bills of material for auxiliary equipment such as base plates and steel structures in collaboration with subcontracted engineering partners.

  
  

• Perform field piping engineering for auxiliary systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, oil lubrication, grease lubrication, high-pressure water, and hot oil piping.

  
  

• Develop 3D routing models, drawings, and bills of material for various piping systems together with subcontracted engineering resources.

  
  

• Monitor and guide the schedule and quality of work performed by subcontractors.

  
  

• Support local procurement, manufacturing, and installation activities during project execution.

  
  

• Grow into a lead or chief engineer role for the plant / field piping area in local projects in the future.

  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or another relevant technical field.

  
  

• 6-8 Years of relevant experience is required.

  
  

• Good technical knowledge in mechanical, plant, or piping engineering.

  
  

• Hands-on experience with Catia V6 and AutoCAD 2D design tools.

  
  

• Previous experience in plant engineering and/or piping engineering.

  
  

• Ability to read and interpret fluid system diagrams and technical documentation.

  
  

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
