YOUR ROLE

• Seeking an experienced scientist with supervisor skills to lead small product develop team focusing on the development of innovative Surface Treatment and Functional Coating Technologies and Products.
• Lead a team in the research and development of cleaners, conversion coatings, functional coatings for metal substrates.
• Implement formulation optimizations related to cost of goods, raw material substitutions, adaptation of a formulation to customer processes.
• Manage laboratories according to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Guide individual staff members in project work, skills development, and career development.
• Leverage the internal network to share best-practices in process and product development and drive standardization across the business.
• Close collaboration with marketing, commercial, purchasing, and manufacturing functions.
• Ability to connect with customers and external stakeholders (suppliers, universities, and research institutes).

YOUR SKILLS

• Minimum of 5 years Industrial Experience.
• MS or PhD in Chemistry qualification is required.
• Fundamental and practical experience in research and development of cleaners, conversion coatings, and functional coatings for metals.
• Goal-oriented, new technology/product developer.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to travel.
