Senior Business Analyst – SAP Functional

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking, and experienced Subject Matter Expert.

This role will be a full-time position based out of our Coimbatore office. This role is integral in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes and systems within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Finance, SAP systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a challenging environment. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team.

What we’re looking for 

• Education: M.Com/ MBA/ MCA/ MSC – Info Tech from Reputed University preferred.
• Experience: 5 plus years of relevant experience is preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of Accounting & SAP Technical Skills is preferred.
• Prior experience with SAP, Hyperion, QlikView, MDG finance is preferred.
• Prior experience in General Accounting / MDG / SAP is preferred.
• Excel Macro – Automation / Power BI Knowledge would be an added advantage.

How you will thrive and create an impact 

• Support the business by prioritizing requests, gathering requirements, and liaising with IT to address finance and accounting technical issues and enhancements.
• Initiate JIRA tickets, coordinate resolution, and oversee testing and deployment processes.
• Monitor and address business validation tickets in the JIRA system.
• Assist in resolving AP, GL, AR, and FA issues promptly.
• Participate in calls with various banks and coordinate new payment method testing / implementation.
• Conduct Baseline testing / Regression testing / Unit testing wherever applicable.
• Coordinate with teams to address daily business routine issues and maintain business trackers.
• Be prepared to manage special projects such as providing support for new company code implementations.
• Create & maintain IC Customer / Vendor master data.
• Create & maintain finance master in SAP and MDG CFIN systems (GL accounts, cost/profit centers, hierarchies, etc.)
• Create & maintain cost center and profit center allocation cycles.
• Ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
