You will join growing energetic team that develops end-to-end solutions for remote cardiac monitoring, centralized core laboratory services for clinical trials, remote blood glucose monitoring that serves both healthcare and clinical research customers. Opportunity to participate and define consolidated master data model and consolidated clinician portal. Team in Bangalore will be cross functional and participate in projects across Cardio, Care and Research businesses and as well participate in defining integrated AM&D technology platform.
You are responsible for
Manage all Database Administration needs, including and not limited to: backups, restores, snapshots, replication, patching and upgrade best practices within maintenance jobs and schedules.
Effectively research, develop, test and implement new Database Tuning and maintenance procedures
Implement and Maintain all Database Security policies, procedure and regulations
Serve as primary DBA for operational and strategic planning and projects
Coordinate production releases and changes including technical and scheduling conflict reviews.
Maintaining appropriate and required compliance and regulatory requirements, involving key process controls and documentation.
Providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 Operational support of critical 24x7 externally facing products.
Ability to work collaboratively in a highly diverse and fast paced team.
Provide architectural and process guidance to both members of this team as well as the product engineering team in order to insure security, performance and availability of all supported products.
On-call and evening/overnight and weekend work is required for support off hour releases and production operations
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience.
10+ years of hand-on development experience building data solutions (data models and data store) including data warehouses, data pipelines, business analytics, predictive analytics
3+ years operationally managing data store
3+ years of experience in AWS
Experience with AWS Storage Technologies is preferred
Experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure automation (e.g. CloudFormation, Python based), and CI/CD a plus
Knowledge/Abilities –Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with various database technologies including but not limited to SQL/ACID stores (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Progress, PostgreSQL), NoSQL/Key-Value/Wide-Column stores (Amazon DynamoDB , Apache Hadoop, Cassandra, ) and Document stores (MongoDB)
Advanced SQL skills, advance programming skills (multiple programming languages)
Hands-on experience with AWS IAM, EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch
Proficiency in the Amazon Web Services management platform
Experience with offerings in the data solutions market
Experience with change management and business process reengineering
Deep analytical skills, extensive capability to break down a problem and find the root cause, creative thinking and flexibility, considering new ways of thinking to solve a problem
Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus, digital leadership skills, ability to lead and motivate cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams
