General Summary:

This role supports diagnostics automation efforts by providing hands-on execution and validation as automation and AI are applied to existing diagnostics tools and workflows. You will work closely with diagnostics engineers and platform owners to ensure automation behaves correctly on real products and scales safely across technologies

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

· Validate and qualify diagnostics automation outputs against real productbehavior.

·Debug automation gaps, failures, and product specific edge cases.

·Support scan and memory diagnostics operations where automation coverage is incomplete.

·Own automation readiness for assigned products, ensuring reliable execution as coverage matures

·Provide feedback to strengthen reliability and guardrails in automated flows.

Level of Responsibility

·Works independently with minimal supervision

·Owns hands-on execution and validation responsibilities.

·Contributes to team level decisions related to automation readiness and execution quality.

·Requires effective communication to surface issues and collaborate across roles.

Required Competencies

·Experience in silicon diagnostics, yield engineering, or tooling heavy execution roles.

·Strong debugging andproblem solvingskills.

·Ability to translate automation outputs into practical product readiness.

·Comfortable working closely with both software and diagnostics engineers.

·Linux environment proficiency.

·Strong scripting or programming skills (Python, Perl, Shell, or similar).

·Familiarity with automation pipelines and tooling.

Additional Competencies

·Exposure to AI assisted tooling or data driven diagnostics workflows.

·Experience with scan or memory diagnostics is a plus.

·Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
