Description:


A Reporting Analyst provides high quality, actionable insight to a diverse range of stakeholders, enabling them to make better, more timely decisions resulting in improved outcomes for our organization and clients. This involves collating and organizing data from disparate sources into useful datasets via secure and efficient dataflows and developing high quality reports and visualizations to enable effective analysis and decision making.


Often leading or working in small, matrix groups to design and develop new management systems, processes, and reports a reporting analyst must be highly organized, motivated, and attentive to detail. They are expected to pragmatically and sensitively contribute logic, reasoning, and lateral thinking to enable optimal solutions.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with subject matter experts to understand business processes and the associated data.
  • Gather management information and reporting requirements to inform development.
  • Design and build high quality, accurate reports that are easy to use and understand.
  • Analyze data to derive new insight and assure data quality and integrity.
  • Present insight and analysis to a wide range of people and stakeholders.
  • Manage risks to assure accuracy and timeliness of data and reports.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting availability or quality of data and reports.
  • Produce and maintain high quality process and systems documentation.
  • Perform routine data processing procedures [ETL].

Technical Skills:


  • Spreadsheets [Excel or equivalent] including tables, charts, pivot charts, data queries, and data models.
  • Data acquisition [extract, transform, and load using a variety of tools and techniques].
  • Data modelling and design.
  • Data and business analysis.
  • Data visualization [Power BI or equivalent].
  • Basic, low code programming and automation [MS Power Platform, or Python].
  • Written and verbal communication [Word, Powerpoint etc.].
  • SQL (joins & queries) and SQL server [SSIS] scripting.

Qualifications

Experience:


  • Experience 5-8 Years. 
  • Gathering requirements and pre-empting customer needs and issues.
  • Handling, analyzing, and reporting data.
  • Working as part of a team or project, and without direct supervision.
  • Applying agile principles and techniques.
  • Supporting technology operations and IT service management.
  • Working with enterprise workflow systems [Servicenow].
  • Projects and project management.
  • Identifying and implementing technology, process, or cost improvements.
