Job Summary:
As a Shift Engineer Mechanical, you will take charge of overseeing the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of a variety of mechanical systems, including chillers, compressors, cooling towers, Air Handling Units (AHU), air conditioning (AC) systems, Nitrogen storage units, High-Speed Diesel (HSD) systems, cranes, fans, pumps, motors, and Low Tension/High Tension (LT/HT) Diesel Generators (DG). You will play a key role in ensuring that all mechanical operations are performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems such as chillers, compressors, and cooling towers.
- Ensure the optimal operation and maintenance of AHU, AC systems, and Nitrogen storage units.
- Oversee the functioning and maintenance of cranes, fans, pumps, and motors.
- Manage the maintenance of LT/HT DG and ensure they are functioning efficiently.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant mechanical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation measures.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and supervise a team of mechanical technicians and mechanics during shifts.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in mechanical maintenance.
Emergency Response and Problem-Solving:
- Respond promptly to mechanical emergencies or unexpected breakdowns.
- Develop and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of mechanical systems.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs.
- Generate reports on mechanical issues and the status of equipment for review by management.
