Introduction: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and implementing solutions across multiple cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in implementing, and overseeing the overall architecture of the solution that meet our clients' business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design scalable and sustainable solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives and technology standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end solutions, considering factors such as scalability, reliability, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, identify pain points, propose innovative solutions that address business challenges, advising on best practices and architectural approaches for cloud deployments.
• Develop and maintain a cloud strategy and coordinate the adaptation process. Provide guidance and leadership on a range of IT projects, involving cloud migration, implementation, and optimization.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural best practices, coding standards, and design patterns.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
• Define and enforce architecture standards, policies, and guidelines to maintain consistency and quality across projects
• Identify potential risks and dependencies early in the project lifecycle and propose mitigation strategies to minimize impact
• Work closely with IT security to monitor privacy and develop incident-response procedures.
• Liaise with vendors and service providers to enhance cloud service effectiveness.
• Keep abreast of new technologies and continuously update the cloud architectures as needed.

Core/Must have skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred

Proven experience of 5+ years as a Solutions Architect on enterprise application architectures and cloud-based solutions on AWS and/or Azure platforms, with strong background in software development and architecture

In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, distributed, and highly available enterprise solutions.

Strong understanding of architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture) and integration patterns (e.g., RESTful APIs, messaging queues).

Ability to script or code in languages such as Python, PowerShell, Ruby, or similar.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for mentoring and coaching others.

Good to have skills

Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect is a plus.

Experience with other cloud services like Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
