• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inSpecial Educationor a related field
  
• State teacher certification or licensure inSpecial Education
  
• Relevant certification or licensure inSpecial Education
  

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or a relevant role
  
• Experience working with students with special needs
  

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of various disabilities and special education laws
  
• Knowledge of current Special Education laws and regulations
  
• Ability to create and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  
• Flexibility and adaptability in instructional approaches
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Good knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies
  

Responsibilities:

• Work with children and young adults who require additional support to complete their learning successfully.
  
• Address the needs of students with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, developmental disabilities such as Autism, Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy, and Specific Learning Disabilities.
  
• Support emotionally vulnerable students and those with behavioral difficulties.
  
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote student success.
