Position Summary:

This position is part of the IT Application Platform team whose scope includes the administration and support of Illumina's ERP system along with other ancillary applications. The selected candidate must possess a strong technical background and experience with SAP applications. Responsibilities include supporting the applications and tools across multiple landscapes, requirements gathering and analysis, planning and coordination of tasks, as well as software installation, configuration, testing, and documentation. Responsibilities also include ensuring high levels of service quality and solving complex technical problems.

Responsibilities:

• Work with specifications to design, implement, and maintain high availability and secure application services

  
  

• Install, configure, and support 24x7 mission critical enterprise applications that include SAP ECC, APO, GTS, GRC, Portal, Fiori, HANA, MII, EWM (decentral on S/4 HANA), OpenText, and Vertex

  
  

• Administer platform management and automation applications that include Solution Manager, LAMA, EPI-USE, and Rev-Trac

  
  

• Manage SAP GUI client software images

  
  

• Develop and update scripts used to automate tasks and processes

  
  

• Implement policies and procedures to maintain best practices across the team's portfolio

  
  

• Perform system copies and system refreshes.

  
  

• Follow release and change management processes

  
  

• Adhere to compliance, data governance, and security policies

  
  

• Setup and configure transaction, process, and system monitors to track service availability and performance

  
  

• Independently debug and resolve complex application issues and problems

  
  

• Provide on-call support on a rotating basis

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience installing and configuring SAP products and applications as part of new implementations, upgrades, and patching

  
  

• 7+ years of experience as an SAP BASIS administrator working with SAP ECC, APO, Fiori, and Portal

  
  

• 5+ years of experience with SAP Portal content and user administration

  
  

• 2+ years of experience with the administration of SAP HANA (Experience with SAP RISE is beneficial)

  
  

• 7+ years of experience administering and supporting web and application servers including NetWeaver, Apache, Tomcat, and IIS

  
  

• 3+ years of experience using Solution Manager, LAMA, and Rev-Trac

  
  

• 3+ years of experience with job scheduling systems such as BMC Control-M or similar

  
  

• 5+ years of experience administering and working on Linux and Windows Server operating systems

  
  

• 3+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Shell and Power Shell or Python

  
  

• 3+ years of experience working with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL

  
  

• Experience in automating repetitive system administration tasks using automation scripts and tools a big plus

  
  

• Experience with SQL and/or ABAP a plus

  
  

• Experience working with and running services on the cloud including AWS and SAP

  
  

• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle within SAP

  
  

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

  
  

• Strong teamwork and problem solving abilities
