About the Role
In this opportunity as Technical Lead, Employee Technology Services, you will:
Implementation and Deployment:


  • Oversee deployment of VDI infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Configure virtualization platforms, provision virtual desktops, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.


Architecture Design:


  • Work with stakeholders to design and deploy a scalable, efficient VDI architecture.
  • Plan resource allocation, network connectivity, storage capacity, and user access controls.


Performance Optimization:


  • Monitor and optimize the VDI environment for peak performance and responsiveness.
  • Manage resource allocation, load balancing, and troubleshoot performance issues to maintain a smooth user experience.


Security and Compliance:


  • Implement robust security measures to protect VDI infrastructure and sensitive data.
  • Enforce access controls, apply security patches and updates, implement encryption, and adhere to compliance standards and regulations.


Capacity Planning and Scalability:


  • Monitor resource usage and plan for capacity growth to meet evolving business needs.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks and scale the VDI environment to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.


Documentation and Reporting:


  • Maintain accurate documentation of the VDI infrastructure, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, utilization, and security metrics to track the effectiveness of the VDI environment.


Leadership and Mentorship:


  • Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of the VDI infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers within the team, fostering their technical growth and knowledge.


About You


  • You're a fit for the role of Technical Lead, Employee Technology Services if your background includes:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • At least 9+ years of experience with virtual desktop technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Citrix.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop architecture, configuration, deployment, and management.
  • Proficiency in other relevant Azure services, including Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, and Azure Monitor.
  • Understanding of Azure Virtual Desktop concepts such as host pools, session hosts, and management tools.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Nerdio over AVD.
  • -Knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, along with network optimization.
  • Deep understanding of modern endpoint security practices, VDI infrastructure, and data protection methodologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation and customization of solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and effectively working with cross-functional teams.
