This is a senior software development role working on our Compute Cloud at Customer (C3) platform, which is based on our Private Cloud Appliance (PCA). The primary focus for this role will be on delivering and maintaining a ‘Telco Mode’ for C3 that provides functionality specifically targeted at telco customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for the extending the FlexNetwork model by adding explicit physical-port allocation, virtual-circuit connectivity, and DRG-based routing for carrier-style networking. An initial implementation already exists, spanning four layers: the C3 contract and workflow layer, the PCA admin Day 0 and routing API layer, the network controller and telco object model, and the execution layer in switchmgr and host-side VFIO tooling. We need an experienced senior software developer to enhance and improve this implementation, as well as provide engineering-level support for diagnosing and resolving complex issues should they arise with our telco customer base.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Must have hands-on experience developing for cloud environments; Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience is preferred

  
  

• Experienced with software development at a systems/network architect level

  
  

• Expertise with virtual networking, both as a developer and administrator

  
  

• Experienced with SR-IOV or VFIO

  
  

• Experienced with Cisco switches, especially in embedded/appliance use cases

  
  

• Expert systems-level development skills in Linux/UNIX operating environments

  
  

• Experience designing and deploying runbooks and working in a ‘devops’ environment

  
  

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, and network stack software implementations
