: Jordan-Amman PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Through increasing capacity to prevent and respond to sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment in Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO), this role will support the implementation of the Preventing and Responding to Sexual Misconduct: WHO’s Three Year Strategy across the WHO Jordan Country Office. The position provides support to the overall work on the prevention and response to sexual misconduct to the WHO EMRO Jordan Country Office. This role works in close coordination and collaboration with all leadership, accountability, enabling and program functions across the Country Office; and has strong links with the Regional PRS Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Head of Country Office (HWCO) who has accountability for PRS, this role also acts as part of the Global and Regional network of PRS experts and officials working for WHO. DESCRIPTION OF THE DUTIES · Support the Head of Country Offices (HWCO) and programme and emergency leaders on matters and activities related to PRS, keeping them updated on PRS requirements and sourcing support from the regional or global levels as needed. · Act as the focal point for assessment of Sexual Misconduct (SM) risk in the country, and work with relevant colleagues to complete the Sexual Misconduct Risk Assessment, update it and develop and monitor risk mitigation plans. · Ensure WHO fulfils the interagency requirements for PSEAH and contribute to joint work such as community engagement, community-based complaints mechanisms, support for joint missions, etc, and bring to the attention of the HWCO any gaps, risks, trends. · Work with programme and administrative colleagues in WHO, and in collaboration with the UNCT/HCT to update victim and survivor services in-country and highlight gaps REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education
Experience Essential: At least 2 years’ work experience in prevention and response to sexual misconduct or related field. Work experience with children and/or adults who have witnessed or experienced sexual exploitation, abuse or harassment. · Work experience in WHO or another international organization. · Experience in the delivery of programs in complex humanitarian or development contexts. · Experience in the provision of safeguarding strategic guidance and technical advice in a complex, large organization. · Experience in IP assessments and capacity strengthening implementation plans. · Experience managing health interventions in complex humanitarian or development contexts. · Experience conducting awareness raising and training on sensitive issues such as sexual exploitation and abuse, and/or gender-based violence. Functional Knowledge and Skills · Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. · Effective time-management skills. · Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure constant data protection. · Ability to work in a stressful environment. · Ability to maintain focus in crisis situations. · Ability to maintain excellent interpersonal working relations (collaboration, tact, patience). · Ability to facilitate multidisciplinary and multinational staff. WHO Competencies USE OF LANGUAGE SKILLS Essential : Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English and Arabic. Other Skills (e.g. IT): · Very Good knowledge of Microsoft applications. · Knowledge of ERP/Oracle applications is an asset.
