As a Senior Software Engineer (Node.js) at Aspire, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and APIs that power our products and services. You will play a key role in building cloud-native applications, designing microservices, and delivering secure, reliable, and maintainable software solutions. Working closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams, you will contribute to the entire software development lifecycle while mentoring junior engineers and driving engineering best practices.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support business and product requirements.
Develop secure, high-performance, and maintainable backend services following engineering best practices.
Design and optimize SQL and NoSQL database schemas and queries to ensure performance and scalability.
Integrate backend services with third-party APIs, cloud services, and external systems.
Participate in system architecture discussions, technical design, code reviews, and solution planning.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring high system availability and reliability.
Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to maintain high code quality.
Continuously improve application performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
Collaborate with Product Managers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and architectural designs.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Node.js.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
Experience building scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and Node.js internals.
Experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or similar.
Strong knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
Experience working with Docker and containerized applications.
Experience using Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of software design principles, clean architecture, and design patterns.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is an advantage.
Knowledge of Kubernetes, messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and secure application development is a plus.
