This requisition is for the My Business Report, a critical application at Cisco. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to work on this critical Business Intelligence application, addressing both data-related business and operational requirements.

This role requires a hybrid work schedule with on-site attendance at the Hyderabad, India location.

Your Impact 

As a Data Engineer with an AIOps focus, you will architect and manage high-scale, resilient data ecosystems, integrating intelligent automation to ensure platform reliability and performance. This role is exciting because it sits at the cutting edge of modern data engineering, where you leverage AI to proactively solve infrastructure challenges and drive operational excellence across complex, hybrid environments.

• Lead end-to-end AI and data engineering projects, architecting high-volume, resilient data solutions that integrate seamlessly across cloud and on-premise environments like Data Build Tool, Snowflake, Solr, and BI Applciaiton.
• Implement AIOps methodologies to automate data pipeline health monitoring, failure prediction, and proactive remediation, ensuring maximum system availability and operational resilience.
• Develop and optimize advanced data pipelines using tools such as DBT, Snowflake and Solr, applying AI-driven techniques for automated data cleansing, transformation, and integrity management.
• Partner with Data Architect to enhance feature engineering and model development, providing the high-quality data infrastructure necessary for advanced AI workflows and predictive analytics.
• Establish and enforce rigorous data governance and security standards, utilizing AI-generated insights and operational dashboards to drive decision-making and business outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in ETL Development, Operations, data modeling, and data warehousing.

• Experience designing and implementing ETL processes using tools such as Informatica, DBT, or similar.

• Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling techniques. Experience with SQL and various database technologies, such as Teradata, Oracle, and Snowflake.

• Demonstrated experience architecting data solutions using Snowflake Cortex AI for large language model (LLM) workflows, text analytics, or vector functions.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, automation, and the development of high-quality, testable code.

• Practical experience implementing monitoring, automation, or predictive analytics tools to support infrastructure reliability, observability, or AIOps initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects).
• Knowledge of data governance principles and data quality management frameworks.
• Experience working with sales data, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and related sales operations processes.
• Understanding of agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
