Role Overview
We are hiring a Senior Backend Development Engineer within the Technical team, focused on the GEO (Global Emerging Opportunities) direction. This role centers on server-side development, responsible for building and maintaining automation tools, data pipelines, and backend systems that support GEO business initiatives. Ideal for a strong backend engineer who is passionate about data processing, automation, and technically sensitive to emerging market opportunities.

SEO domain knowledge is a plus but not a hard requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop server-side systems for the GEO tech team, owning core backend module implementation
• Build and maintain automation tools and data pipelines supporting large-scale data processing and analytics
• Construct efficient data processing workflows and automation scripts using Python, SQL, and related technologies
• Integrate and optimize technical solutions for emerging markets, including structured data, content quality detection, and localization adaptation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Growth, local operations, etc.) to align on requirements and define technical solution boundaries
• Participate in code reviews, performance optimization, and system reliability assurance
• Continuously explore and apply emerging technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and automation workflows to drive system intelligence

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend development experience with solid server-side programming skills (Java, Python, or Golang)
• Proficient in SQL and database design; experience with large-scale data processing is preferred
• Hands-on Python scripting experience, familiar with data processing, API integration, and automation tool development
• Strong coding practices and engineering discipline; able to independently own module development
• Cross-functional communication skills; able to effectively translate business requirements into technical implementations
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) is preferred
• Experience with Large Language Models or automation workflows (Airflow, GitHub Actions) is a plus
• Good English communication skills; Chinese proficiency is preferred
• Experience in fintech or blockchain industry is preferred

• Project experience with SEO automation tools, web crawlers, or data analytics
• Familiarity with NLP, semantic search, or knowledge graphs
• Understanding of modern web technologies (SSR/CSR, Core Web Vitals, etc.)
• Interest in or understanding of emerging market user scenarios (LatAm, MENA, Southeast Asia, Africa, etc.)
