HEC Paris in Qatar is currently strengthening its faculty team. We are looking for an outstanding candidate with proven expertise in Finance with a focus on Corporate Finance and impactful publications in her/his field. The candidate should be capable of teaching Finance and Finance topics in general in one of the world´s best Executive MBAS, and also conduct impactful research published in top Academic and practitioner journals. This is a full-time position based in Doha, Qatar.
Professors' responsibilities at HEC Paris in Qatar are divided between teaching, research, and service, depending on their qualifications, wishes, and institutional needs.
The teaching responsibilities are all on the post-experience executive education level in degree and non-degree programs. Therefore, relevance, thought leadership and the ability to customize content and learning approaches are key factors we look for.
Equally, we expect our professors to conduct original, thought-leadership and impactful research in their respective fields and publish it in a variety of ways, including books for practitioners, case studies, white papers, conference papers, and top scholarly as well as professional journals. We encourage and value publications in the world´s top journals in different disciplines, as well as pedagogical innovations that are relevant to the local and regional context.
Professors are also expected to perform reasonable service activities, such as contributions of academic content to custom program proposals and support of sales presentations to boards, program direction, stakeholder dialogues with business and government entities, and designing as well implementation initiatives to increase impact and assure holistic learning.

The present announcement aims to build the faculty of HEC Paris in Qatar, and the position requires being based full-time in wonderful and cosmopolitan Doha, the capital city of the State of Qatar. The contract duration is 3 years, renewable.
Candidates are expected to have strong, world-class skills and be capable of engaging with senior executive audiences. They should also have earned a Ph.D. from respected institutions and present evidence of research and teaching skills, as well as a strong desire to be at the frontier of knowledge in their disciplines through active scholarship. Only candidates credibly fulfilling these criteria should apply. The language of work and instruction is English. While useful, Arabic and French are not required, and we do not use them as criteria for selection. The positions are not for persons who are still working on their doctorates or do not have at least a few years of solid experience in executive education.
