Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading technology solutions provider in Doha, Qatar. Our client is looking to hire an Audio Visual (AV) Commissioning Engineer who will be responsible for commissioning, testing, calibrating, and integrating AV systems to ensure optimal performance and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
AV Systems Commissioning & Integration
- Commission, configure, and optimize integrated audio, video, lighting, and control systems to ensure seamless functionality and high-performance operation.
- Perform comprehensive system testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and fault resolution during project commissioning.
- Calibrate audio and video equipment, including speakers, microphones, DSPs, displays, projectors, cameras, and conferencing devices for optimal performance.
- Integrate AV control systems and fine-tune user interfaces such as touch panels and control software to deliver an intuitive user experience.
- Verify system functionality against project specifications, technical drawings, and client requirements before handover.
- Ensure compliance with AV industry standards and protocols including HDMI, HDBaseT, Dante, AES67, and other relevant technologies.
Project Delivery & Documentation
- Collaborate closely with AV designers, programmers, project managers, and installation teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Prepare and maintain accurate commissioning documentation, including system configurations, testing reports, calibration records, and as-built modifications.
- Support final system acceptance testing and client sign-off processes.
- Provide technical guidance during installation and assist in resolving integration challenges encountered on-site.
Client Support & Training
- Deliver end-user training on AV system operation, functionality, and basic maintenance.
- Provide technical support during project handover and warranty periods when required.
- Communicate technical information effectively with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Visual Technology, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5–8 yearsof experience in AV commissioning, system integration, or a similar technical role.
- Strong technical knowledge of professional AV systems, including audio, video, control systems, networking, and signal distribution technologies.
- Hands-on experience with amplifiers, DSP processors, displays, projectors, signal routing equipment, microphones, cameras, and conferencing solutions.
- Proficiency in using AV calibration, testing, and measurement tools.
- Experience working with platforms such asCrestron, Extron, QSC, Microsoft Teams,andZoomis an advantage.
Good understanding of AV industry standards and protocols, including HDMI, HDBaseT, Dante, and AES67.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)or other relevant AV certifications will be considered an advantage.
