Your Opportunity
Stantec’s Management Consulting Group in the Middle East is looking for an a result oriented and dynamic Business/Data Analyst to work closely with our client in a transformation journey for their Operation and Maintenance Departments.
Your Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering transformational work as part of our Management Consulting Group in Qatar, supporting and advising our client in maturing their Roads O&M supply chain. The candidate for this position will be working from our client’s office and is a client-facing position to provide management consulting service to our client. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Support and advise the client Management in administering a Roads O&M Performance-Based contract including setting the program of works, work inspection regime, participating in technical and contractual discussions, review and approve monthly invoices.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, that optimize efficiency and quality.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources to update and maintain databases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and understand the requirements to develop key performance indicators and translate it into formulas in MS Excel
• Develop MS Excel based tools to improve workflow.
• Filter and clean data by reviewing reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct problems.
• Work with management to prioritize business information needs.
• Produce presentations, circulars and other marketing material to promote achievements of the business.
• Provide guidance and coach team members in data analytics.
• Present to stakeholders of all levels the analysis conducted.
• Create and update project schedules.
• Create proposals for data analysis improvements.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
• Minimum of 7 years post graduate work experience
• Experience in IBM/Google/Microsoft analytics tools related to data analysis/data science
• Advanced experience in MS Excel is required. Coding in Visual Basic to create and amend MACROS is considered an asset
• Use of other programming languages such as Python or R is considered an asset
• Experience in neural networks or machine learning will be advantageous
