The holy month of Ramadan revolves around doing good deeds and practicing self-restraint. The Bayt.com ‘Ramadan in the MENA Workplace’ poll reveals, however, that it is a challenging month for both professionals and organizations in terms of productivity.

Data for the Bayt.com ‘Ramadan in the MENA Workplace’ poll was collected online from20 May to24 June2014, with7,394 respondents from UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia.

Highlights:

8 out of10 professionals feel special bonuses should be offered to employees during Ramadan in order to motivate them.

58% of respondents agree that more working hours would have a positive impact on their performance.

69% say that people in their company tend to take their holidays during Ramadan.

95% feel that Ramadan is a peaceful, spiritual and very special month, and overall lifts morale at work.
