Development and design of database strategies, monitoring and improving database performance and capacity, and planning for future expansion requirements.
Conducting day-to-day data management activities (receiving, delivery, quality assurance, metadata, acceptance, indexing, web services) necessary to support the implementation of data repositories related to design, staging and production environments.
Co-ordinate and implement security measures including disaster recovery (backups and testing of backups), performance analysis and tuning, data dictionary maintenance, and database design.
SDE Geodatabase Modeling, Designing, Implementing
Maintaining geodatabase (compressing, indexing, updating statistics, performing backup and recovery procedures, and altering storage locations to maintain performance levels)
Geodatabase tuning to improve memory usage, reduce resource contention, and improve performance of the geodatabase.
Scaling and moving geodatabase.
Utilizing FME for data integration and transferring
SQL server database managing and administration
Write SQL queries, create triggers and privileges management.
Export and import complex data structures and overall tuning of data structures to optimize performance and increase quality control and quality assurance.
Management of versioned data and data QA/QC
Providing knowledge transfer and keep an Up-to-date documentations and materials.
Performs other related duties consistent with the role and function of the classification.
Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in geomatics, geography, GIS, computer science, or any related field.
Proficiency in geospatial enterprise architecture, technologies, and tools such as ArcGIS Enterprise, Geoprocessing tools, and ArcPy.
Good knowledge of Python, SQL, Geo-databases, and modern programming languages.
Web Services, Map Services, RESTful APIs & integration.
