Key responsibilities and accountabilities


As a Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations and strategic decision-making of the organization. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Finance Support: Provide finance business partner support to operations and commercial directors, influencing behaviors and performance through insights and understanding of key drivers and trends.
  • Communication: Deliver financial information effectively to non-financial employees and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making, develop presentations to communicate specific messages or outcomes to different levels of management and / or the wider audience in Business. Support the Investor Relationship department with quarterly financial reporting and analysis to be presented to Investors and analysts.
  • Business planning, Budgeting and Forecasting: Formulate and maintain accurate, up to date 5 years Group business plan, Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly rolling forecasts for OPEX, CAPEX, and cash flow in line with group business plans.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare insightful reporting and analysis to support management decisions, including identifying and addressing any budget anomalies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance against the budget, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Management Presentations: Present monthly financial results to senior management, highlighting commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Modelling and Scenario Testing: Provide assistance with modelling and scenario testing for new business opportunities.
  • Audit and Ad Hoc Queries: Address audit and ad hoc queries as necessary, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Monthly Management Accounts Reporting Deck: Ensure adherence to the monthly reporting timetable and communicate required information to ensure results are reported accurately and on time. 
  • Presentation and Reporting Skills: Utilize strong reporting skills and PowerPoint presentation abilities to create clear and informative decks that include trends and ratios. Prepare a monthly management accounts deck for the board, including all required analysis and analysis of group performance. Report the business segment results and ensure trends, ratios, and other key metrics are presented effectively.

Requirements


  • Experience in the media and entertainment industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE and KSA tax regulations.
  • Over 10 years of experience in a commercial finance role.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, Hyperion, and BI reporting tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with commercial teams, Business Planning, and other business units.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
