THE LINE



Role Purpose


The Line modules represent a new way of living, within 5 minutes of entertainment, retail, healthcare, sports and education facilities. Each module comprises a City Infrastructure, formed around fourteen 500m high concrete cores and concrete ‘hard decks’, which define the public realm and mobility (transport) platforms for The LINE. Within the City Infrastructure, lie the City Neighbourhoods and Iconic Assets, which define The LINE. Each of the tree modules in Phase 1 of The LINE is different and will have it’s own character.


The Module Delivery Director is responsible for the design integration, construction and commissioning of his or her module. Each module comprises a vital component of a new City and the Module Delivery Director is entirely responsible for all aspects of the planning, delivery and handover. The Module Delivery Director will be part of The LINE Projects, Senior Management Team, comprising leaders in Planning, Design, Engineering, Project Controls, Commercial, Construction Excellence, Industrial Delivery and will be expected to collaborate across these delivery functions and with stakeholders



BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS



Knowledge, Skills  and Experience


  • Overall accountability for the delivery of a module from Stage design to handover and operation;
  • Leadership of a team of senior construction professionals and their support staff, to deliver a demanding schedule;
  • Management of design and construction, to budget;
  • Management of tier1, international package and main contractors, to achieve overall The LINE Projects objectives.
  • Delivery of the Phase 1 Modules, End to end responsibility for schedule, cost, and quality from design stage to handover to meet current and future commitments and to maximize opportunities with the emphasis on safe, collaborative delivery, quality, logistics and handover.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Able to process schedule requirements, analyze multi-layered construction schedules and react to change. Able to be able to concisely report on progress and challenges.
  • A well-developed understanding of lean principles, systems engineering, schedule, supply chain & cost management
  • The ability to balance the stakeholder expectations and perceptions against the needs of the module/business
  • Gathering and synthesizing information, identifying options, and applying sound judgement based on logic and reason, making use of a variety of analytical approaches to provide relevant information to suppliers, stakeholders and decision makers using key facts and data.
  • Oversee the construction programme, identify deviances and act to ensure programme targets are met.
  • Oversee the quality of construction and act where necessary to ensure the required quality is delivered
  • Lead a robust change control process, while adopting a collaborative work ethic.

Qualifications


  1. BS degree or MS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field Preferably Chartered Engineer status and/or Project Management accreditation

  1. 20 years of experience in construction management.

  1. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods

  1. Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  2. Strong experience in organization co-ordination.
  3. Integration and package management (through supply chains)
  4. Complex stakeholder and interface management experience
