What we're looking for:


We’re on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Account Director to lead our PR and communications efforts focusing on retail, consumer, and government sectors. As a pivotal part of our global team, you will manage complex communication programs for an array of high-profile global clients and local government authorities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic communications planning, team leadership, fiscal management, and business development within a fast-paced and globally recognized advertising and PR agency.


 


To Succeed in This Role, You Need To:


  • Strategic Communications Leadership:
    • Design and implement comprehensive communication strategies for retail, consumer, and government sectors, ensuring alignment with client objectives and agency standards.
    • Oversee and manage communication programs, ensuring they are executed seamlessly across various platforms and geographies.
  • Client Management:
    • Maintain and expand relationships with high-value global clients and local government authorities, ensuring their communications needs are met with strategic insight and creative solutions.
    • Provide senior-level counsel and insight to clients, acting as a trusted advisor in all aspects of PR and communications.
  • Team Leadership and Performance Management:
    • Lead, inspire, and manage a large team of communication professionals, fostering an environment of excellence, creativity, and continuous improvement.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Fiscal Responsibilities:
    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for communication projects and client accounts.
    • Ensure the profitability and financial health of the accounts under your management.
  • Business Development:
    • Actively seek out and secure new business opportunities, expanding the agency's presence and influence in the retail, consumer, and government sectors.
    • Lead pitches and proposals, bringing innovative ideas and strategies to the forefront to win new clients and projects.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work closely with other departments and teams within the agency to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to client projects.
    • Coordinate with global counterparts to share best practices, resources, and insights.

 


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in PR and communications, with a focus on retail, consumer, and government sectors.
  • Proven experience managing large teams and complex communication programs for global clients.
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape and government relations.
  • Excellent client servicing skills with the ability to build and maintain strong, lasting relationships.
  • Demonstrated fiscal management abilities with a track record of managing profitable accounts.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in new business development, including leading pitches and crafting strategic proposals.
