Role Purpose


The individual will play an active role in delivering Port of NEOM’s mandate carrying out its varied functions. This would include working with the Head of Strategy in supporting leadership and divisions in activities relating to strategy, research, planning, actively enabling effective delivery of the sectors strategy.


Further the person, will support various Investment proposals and larger strategic projects.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES



Responsibilities


  • Play an active role in strategy development and refinement – this would include supporting each of the divisions in their strategy development and the assimilation into the sector strategy and implementation plan
  • Support in the development and delivery of the sector strategy through hypothesis development, scenario testing, feasibility studies and related tasks
  • Support in the development of business cases across multiple scenarios, including for business lines, subsidiary companies, assets, joint ventures, etc.
  • Assist in developing strategic reports/opinions, utilising a combination of research, financial analysis, and insight generation, to foster discussion and decision making across divisions and within sector
  • Support in the annual planning and budgeting cycle, supporting across the sector as required
  • Support in the management and delivery of sector projects
  • Participate as needed in any sector committees to oversee execution of projects from a quality and timeline perspective and periodically review & report progress and address escalated issues
  • Provide periodic reports regarding project progress, challenges, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Support in the preparation reports for leadership on the current and forecasted progress/completion of key assets and initiatives, with executive levels insights on key assets, requirements, and risks
  • In the case of challenges or risks, support divisions or sector leadership in the development of pragmatic and considered mitigation measure and/or recovery plan
  • Drive development of market studies and competition comparison.


BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS



Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • Eager to make a difference.
  • 5 years’ experience from consultancy or investment background.
  • Experience from port/logistic industry consider a plus
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
  • Structured and detailed orientated approach to tasks and analysis
  • Ability to convey complicated information in a simple way to outsiders.
  • Experience dealing with stakeholders in GCC.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Arabic is considered a plus.
