Job Summary

This position is responsible for the Warehouse activities competently and safely (planning, scheduling, shipping and receiving) in accordance with HMH policies and procedures.  Utilize judgment to identify, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the warehouse facility is maintained and operated in a safe manner in accordance with HMH Safety & Ethical Policies and Practices.
• Responsible for developing, maintaining and amending departmental practices and procedures as necessary to support ongoing business.
• Ensures warehousing activities, receiving and shipping are completed accurately and timely.
• Responsible for organizing and maintaining departmental files and records to support the ongoing operation of the business.
• Routinely interfaces professionally and effectively with other staff and departments to appropriately manage warehouse operations.
• Responsible for routinely executing cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining warehouse performance metrics.
• Monitor the quality, quantity and efficiency of the movement of goods within the warehouse areas.
• Ensure all equipment and materials are properly preserved and stored within the warehouse areas.
• Oversees and conducts the planned maintenance of warehouse vehicles, scales and other equipment.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical or Business discipline from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Operations or Warehouse and Distribution functions.
• Previous experience in SAP.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices and principles.
