Roles and Responsibilities

1. Prepare technical proposal for client inquiry and assist in the cost estimation of projects.

2. Assists in the development, tracking and implementation of department business plans, departmental action items and oversees the Production Department’s.

3. Provide technical direction or supervision to junior engineers, engineering, or other technical personnel.

4. Prepares staffing and budgetary plans and manages resources to achieve department goals.

5. Performs general managerial duties such as supervising staff, planning, scheduling, budgeting, data analysis, reporting and performing presentations.

6. Supervises employees including selecting or recommending selection, training, assigning, and evaluating work.

7. Establishes policies, procedures and methods for the above programs and directs and inspects the work of employees engaged in these areas.

8. Assists with studies of water and wastewater costs and initiates change as appropriate.


Relationship

9. Internal – Division Employees, Department Managers and Company Divisions.

10. External – Customers, Consultants, Sub-Contractors / Suppliers and Others as required.


Performance Criteria

11. Customer satisfaction through quality of work and timely completion of project and site support activities.

12. Adherence to company policies and procedures.

13. Achievement of yearly mission goals and targets.


Job Qualifications

14. BS degree with major work in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Sanitary, or Environmental Engineering,

15. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of the design, construction, operations and maintenance of water and/or wastewater systems.

16. Thorough knowledge of business administration as applied to the operations of water and/or wastewater facilities.

17. Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering maintenance.

18. Ability to effectively plan and implement various management and support programs and initiatives.

19. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with officials, employees and client .

20. 10+ years’ experience in water and/or wastewater utility systems maintenance and operations.

21. 3+ years management experience.
