What are the pros and cons of a photo cameras such as Canon V Mark 3 use for shooting a music video?

Using a photo camera such as Canon V, VII or similar brings various problems: For example, using the camera gives more mobility; but on the other hand it deprives the director of controlling the shot. Also there is a problem of short depth of field due to the use of photo lenses which is great in static shots, but when it comes to moving camera, it gives you hell in editing.
