Firstly it is not written NOR, it is written RON which is Research Octane Number. MON is Motor Octane Number. They are used for gasoline specification. More often than not in retail stations the RON numbers are displayed as indication of the Octane level to match the conusumer's vehicles requirement. In general most countries specifies RON only.
