What is a better major, Public Relations or Journalism?

Depends on what you want to do, and what you're best suited for doing.  If I was to say for me, I'd pick Journalism, as a Journalist can be a Public Relations officer, but it's hard to go the other way around.

The two  are magnificent  and  the first connects the second

in general there is different between the to subject >>journalism : need power skills - patient - awareness- good writing and reading skills and more experience with people and companys and government  >public relations need improvement - nice face good talking skills - love to doing relationships with company - media - journalist -- in general society

It depends on your abilities and talent. As a journalist I think journalism is more interesting that public relations but it's my opinion. I work also as press officer in the Italian public administration and, in this role, I look after the relations with Italian media. But I prefer to work as journalist. Anyway for a journalist it's possibile to be a public relations officer but contrary is difficult to happen. 

Both majors are very similar and both are respected majors, it is up to the person to decide what they think they might be better at, both need to deal with the public but both have their own ways of dealing. So the person choosing which major they prefer must be aware of who's news they want to be broadcasting.

It depends on your dream and goal in life and your future plan.

for example, i was welling to be an Journalist Auditor but a lot of difficulties faces me and forced me to change me plans. I would prefer Journalism rather than PR. Both have a mutual interest in communicating clearly with the public. Both require a curiosity for news and an ability to be a good speaker. Do you believe that most of PR professionals got their start in journalism ?Finally it's your own choice :)

PR.. because it covers a lot of things including journalism. 

I pursuaded B.A in PR and marketing and i had subjects like news writting and news reporting, introduction to mass communications, photography etc.. i think PR is the best major ð
