Dry fruit,  nuts, sandwiches, bagels and the like are good items as snack foods.

HEALTHY SNACKS TO TAKE TO WORK

FRUIT

Grab an apple, banana, pear, grapes, or other  fruit , you'll obtain a good variety of nutrients plus fiber,The average serving of fruit is around calories. Prepare a fruit salad with your favourite fruits for a really tasty healthy snack

POPCORN

A portion of popcorn for only calories. This snack counts as one of your three daily servings of whole grains and helps to increase your energy and mood.

NUTS

Nuts are rich in heart-healthy fats but are calorically dense (about calories per ounce) so dont eat too many but are very healthy. Almonds and other nuts are a naturally high source of vitamin E, calcium, magnesium, and potassium and are rich in protein and fiber.

OATMEAL

Instant oatmeal (just calories) in the microwave for a quick and satisfying treat. Top with a calorie mini box of raisins (or another topping of your choice) for a sweet flavor and added nutrients. Doubling as a fiber-rich breakfast or daytime snack, oatmeal helps lower cholesterol and reduces the risk of heart disease.

Work encompasses most of a daily life, therefore we need to ensure that we have the energy in order to keep us motivated and perform. Healthy snacks such as pumpkin and sunflower seeds and nuts which have proven benefits of reducing cholesterol and pack you with the fibre you need to help maintain a healthy weight. Added advantage keeps you fuller for longer.... plus no cooking required!!

You could also try making your own chips by drying out fruit such as mango/pineapple/bananas....fun aswell as healthy and tasty!!

It's always easier and more accurate if those helping you have an idea of what foods you can eat and those cannot like foods you may be allergic to. It's like trying to come up with a diet plan for a client and picking foods they don't like at all or cant eat, they won't follow it. Having said that I believe in  having small whole meals consistently rather than snacks as they will provide you with a continuous supply of the right amount of nutrients, will keep your blood sugar levels more stable, keep your metabolism running steadily and will also help in preventing cravings for other stuff you might be trying to stay away from.
