What is the best Traffic analyzer tool could be used in a large environment?

I've experience in monitoring with Solarwinds and I consider it a powerful tool.

It is possible to customize a lot of feature and adding sensor points on workstations you can have statistics about application network performances.

You can use Wireshark, Nagios or Solarwinds.

Note: Wireshark provides for in-depth inspection of hundreds of protocols and runs on multiple platforms.

Wireshark is best tool which i come across

For traffic analyzing Microsoft TMG, Fortinet Firewall are being used in large environments.

Wireshark provides in depth packet analyzing and as said can check hundreds of protocols but

can not summarize the all day traffic.

Solarwinds traffic monitoring system is the best. But we are using PRTG . it is also good.
