Do you agree that teachers teach somehow the way their teachers taught? If yes, do you think this would be an advantage or disadvantage?

One need not teach the way his teacher was doing, although he can follow his methods if it is good. Every one has their own way of doing things and teaching method also varies from teacher to teacher.
