What is the difference between Single and multi beam survey quality?

single beam has only to carry its own load, while multi beam will be carrying a dead load maximize to its design.

Its should be Differnce will be there because those frequency will differ and single beam will goes deepen and will penerate the sounding but multibeam it will be penerates bottom floor its self.
