They should be fair with all employees and guide them properly so they altogether fulfill the goal desired.

The role of CEO/ Manager to employees is to delegates the powers and set their rolls properly and arrange proper training to get the required results.

CEO is a leader with vision and plans. Managers just execute those plans.
