Is it possible to get a job just by having an interview on Skype or video conference without being in the country the company is?

Surely, you can be invited to an interview through Skype as you are away. Once they like your performance, they might either call you for another interview or send you a flight ticket to be physically there. Another assumption is that they would ask you to start with the paper work in case you are fullly recruited.
