What is the benefit of CISCO L3 device dual boot? Also i need to know to manage multiple access-list sets to apply access individually.

I need to maintain two or three sets of CISCO IOS configurations but will be used one set at a time and other will be inactive that time. If necessary other config will be in active mode. As well as, in same way i need to have two or three sets of Access-Lists, that will be applied any one at a time.
