What is better for a manager, delegate responsibilities to his/her subordinates or oversee all the process by his own?

of course to delegate. in my point of view, a manager who would like to be a good leader should start putting his trust into others in delegating some responsibilities and that will give the opportunity for other to learn, and for him/her to have more time in accomplishing more tasks.
