Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with IFRS standards
- Prepare regulatory filings and ensure compliance with reporting requirements of relevant governing bodies
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, providing insights to management for decision-making purposes
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support strategic decision-making
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments in financial reporting processes
- Communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders, including executives, investors, and regulatory bodies, through reports, presentations, and discussions
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in auditing with a Big 4 accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and reporting standards relevant to the industry
- A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial statements and reports
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (especially in Excel)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders
