Product Manager - Product Data AnalyticsObjectives

As a Commercial Strategy Manager in the Airline Solutions Business Models team you will actively contribute to the commercial success of Airline Solutions and Creation Platform business lines.


As part of the team, you will be responsible for the commercial framework for Altéa, Nevio and Creation Platform products and commercial packages.


This includes both defining and evolving the standards for commercial models, guidelines and policies in alignment with Airline Solutions and Creation Platform business lines, as well as key stakeholders such as deal management, sales, regions and finance.


In your role, you will also be responsible for the governance of standard product pricing and actively supporting Airline Solutions and Creation Platform product owners in defining new pricing standards or evolving existing pricing standards.


Main responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:


1. Define Commercial Models and Frameworks for our new products and commercial packages, as well as evolve the commercial models for our existing products and commercial packages, achieved by:


- Working closely with product owners, deal management, sales and regions, ensuring buy-in from all key stakeholders and validation from Airline Solutions and Creation Platform business line management


- Ensuring upskilling of our internal organization on our commercial models and policies


- Translating our commercial framework into the standard contract templates and ensuring the relevant schedules are kept up to date


- Collecting, analyzing and reporting on market intelligence relevant to the commercial framework


- Initiating and supporting improvements and standardization initiatives related to commercial models and frameworks that allow us to scale, improve productivity, collaborate better and to improve the internal customer experience


- Providing active support and consulting to airline deal negotiations


2. Develop Commercial Policies and Guidelines that may address complex, cross-business line topics, where a standard approach for positioning, commercials and contractual language is required, in addition to:


- Revising and evolving existing commercial policies and guidelines (e.g. on Service Level Agreement schemes)


- Validating new and updated policies with key counterparts such as deal management, sales and regions) and securing sign-off from management


- Initiating and supporting improvements and standardization initiatives related to commercial policies and guidelines that allow us to scale, improve productivity, collaborate better and to improve the internal customer experience


- Providing active support and consulting to airline deal negotiations


3. Enable Portfolio Pricing by ensuring general governance and harmonization of standard product pricing in Airline Solutions and Creation Platform business lines by:


- Supporting Airline Solutions and Creation Platform business lines in the definition of new standard pricing as well as evolving the existing standard pricing


- Providing expertise on pricing models and best practices as well as guidance on the process for the definition of standard pricing


4. Contribute to Transversal Strategic Projects, representing Airline Solutions business line when it comes to commercial strategy, framework or policy definition.


About the ideal candidate


  • University degree (MA) in Business Administration or Engineering; MBA seen as a plus


  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience


  • A good understanding of Amadeus Airline Solutions and/or Creation Platform and the airline industry


  • Knowledge of pricing strategy and theory


  • Excellent analytical skills


  • Good communication and interpersonal skills


  • Fluency in English; other languages seen as a plus


  • Experience working on product pricing is seen as a plus


  • Experience working on complex commercial negotiations is seen as a plus


  • Exposure to contract drafting is seen as a plus
