• Ensuring that safe working practices are strictly adhered to all the times.
• Receiving daily work orders from the chief officer and organize the crew accordingly.
• Supervising and work with the ratings to ensure that daily tasks are being carried out efficiently and economically.
• Operating the windlass for anchoring the vessel, deck equipments and assist at mooring stations.
• Supervises deck anchor handling operations.

• Certificate in performing Navigational watch keeping (II/4) from approved nautical Institute.
• Minimum 4 years experience as able bodied seaman on board anchor handling tugs inside Offshore Oilfields.
• Good communication skills.
• Good understanding of safe practices related to anchor handling / towing operations.
