Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Container Team Lead to drive the deployment, optimisation, and governance of containerised platforms within a managed service environment.
The role requires deep expertise in OpenShift and OpenShift AI , including lifecycle management of Large Language Models (LLMs), automation initiatives, and ensuring SLA-driven operational excellence.
This position combines hands-on technical leadership with platform governance and team management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities Lead deployment, configuration, and optimisation of OpenShift and OpenShift AI platforms Manage lifecycle of containerised workloads, including LLM deployments Oversee Kubernetes-based orchestration and platform scalability Implement automation frameworks for provisioning, monitoring, and patching Ensure high availability, security compliance, and SLA adherence Drive performance tuning and capacity planning Lead a team of platform engineers and DevOps specialists Collaborate with AI/ML teams to containerise and operationalise models Ensure governance, documentation, and operational best practices Required Experience 8–10 years of experience in container platforms and cloud-native environments Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes Experience deploying and managing LLMs in containerised environments Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible), and GitOps Experience in monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.
) Exposure to hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments Proven team leadership experience Preferred Certifications Red Hat OpenShift Certification Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) Cloud-native platform certifications Key Competencies Automation-driven mindset Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to operate in SLA-driven environments Strong stakeholder communication skills
