Study tender documents including drawings, project specification, BOQ, scope of work, contract details and conditions.
Identify design and construct ability issues and analysis to determine construct ability.
Responsible for providing complete quantity take-off, analysis, and estimate, and studies for all deliverables involved in the assigned scope.
Act as a connection between subcontractors, design team (architects, engineers, consultants) and client.
Study tender BOQ, quantities take off, sending enquiries to the / subcontractor’s vendors to get competitive quotations.
Determine required but non indicated scope through the analysis of site conditions and all contract documents (plans specifications, etc.)
Liaise with construction / QA-QC/operations team to establish execution / method statements and reflect the same in estimation.
Establish direct cost resources required to execute various activities.
Prepare man-hour calculations for various activities.
Preparing technical clarifications to client for discrepancies in tender documents after reviewing. Incorporating the changes after response.
Analyze vendor technical offers and commercial as well given project specifications and standards to ascertain if scope is covered and also manage the risk of scope gaps.
Prepare vendors to cost comparative study report to get financial selection of vendors/ subcontractor & price.
Proposing cost-efficient alternatives to the proposed scope of project.
Collect all vendors’ technical datasheet, vendor’s specification, drawings, and compile in line with tender documents to prepare technical bid submission.
Efficiently closing post tender technical clarifications.
Collaborate with operations staff and other estimators to ensure that General Conditions and Requirement items are appropriately captured in the estimate.
Requirements
7-10 years relevant experience in Tendering / Estimation- Fabrication.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Experience with Pv-Lite and CADwoxs.
Proficient user of excel and Microsoft office suite.
