Position Overview: The Export Sales Executive plays a crucial role in expanding the market reach of a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company by identifying and capitalizing on international sales opportunities. This position involves developing and executing sales strategies to drive exports, managing relationships with overseas clients and distributors, and ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction. The role requires strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of international trade regulations and logistics.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Market Development:


    • Identify and evaluate potential export markets for FMCG products, conducting market research and analysis to assess demand, competition, and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop market entry strategies and expansion plans for target countries or regions, taking into account factors such as consumer preferences, distribution channels, and economic trends.
  2. Customer Acquisition and Relationship Management:


    • Prospect and establish relationships with overseas customers, distributors, and importers, leveraging existing networks and conducting outbound sales activities.
    • Negotiate sales agreements, contracts, and pricing terms with international clients, ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability targets.
    • Provide ongoing support and communication to international clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  3. Order Processing and Logistics:


    • Coordinate with internal departments, including logistics, shipping, and finance, to facilitate the export process from order placement to delivery.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of export orders, including documentation, customs clearance, and transportation arrangements, in compliance with international trade regulations.
    • Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate with customers to provide updates and address any delays or issues that may arise.
  4. Market Intelligence and Analysis:


    • Stay informed about global market trends, trade policies, and regulatory changes that may impact export sales and distribution.
    • Analyze sales performance data, market feedback, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
    • Generate regular reports and insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning within the export sales department.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:


    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and finance, to support export sales initiatives and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in export sales processes.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, international trade, marketing, or a related field; additional certifications or training in export management are a plus.
  • Proven experience in export sales or international business development, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with international clients and partners.
  • Proficiency in export documentation, customs procedures, and international shipping logistics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
